Janet Ann's Design and Decor is a family-run business that works from a floral design studio at their home.  As a Christian, wife, mother and business owner, Family has always been a priority to Janet.  She loves that she can be at home while she pursues her passions and her family.

 

From a young age, Janet loved creating beauty, taking art lessons, and attending art shows in her home state of LA.  When she went to college, she decided on an art education major, which furthered her passion for art and beauty and teaching that to others.  While at college, she met her love, Laine.  They now have six wonderful children ranging in age from 10 to 25.  

 

Laine is a vital part of this growing business. He uses his various talents as the business manager and handy-man. His giftedness in creativity and building, makes him the best business partner Janet could ask for.  Their second oldest daughter, Hannah, adds to the team as their lighting-package designer.  They also have a lot of helping hands with their daughter, Abigail, and son, Nathanael, who help them process flowers as well as the set-up and tear-down before and after many of their events.  They are a family who loves doing life together!

 

In 2014 a wonderful wedding venue, The Homestead 1835, had newly renovated their historic working farm and were scheduling weddings as well as Farm-to-Table events and even concerts. The venue was seeking a decor stylist so Janet began working and designing for these events.  She is currently a certified Floral Designer through the International Institute of Weddings. They, then, launched their own business and began designing most of the weddings held at this venue.

Janet and her design team love all things beautiful, from lighting packages, to hanging garlands, specialty props, table decor, and exquisite bridal party flowers.    They bring their passion and experience to each client and every client!

Also, beginning spring of 2018 we will begin working with honey brake wedding experience in Louisiana .  We are excited about this new opportunity and expanding our business to be a venue coordinator for destination weddings, as well as, the floral designer for weddings there.
